SOLs for Transfer Students
Virginia schedules 12 SOL tests:
English 11 Reading; English 11: Writing Algebra I; Algebra II; Geometry; US History; World History I; Biology; Chemistry; Earth Science; World History II; World Geography
Students who have transferred into the Virginia Beach City Public Schools with class credit in any of the 12 subjects listed above and need to take the corresponding SOL for verified credit should take the SOL in January. Check the SOL Test Schedule listed above. Transfer students must have completed and passed the class to qualify for testing .

Tutoring
Tutoring: in Algebra II/Trig / Math Analysis / Calculus
Dr. Gilpin, a retired Old Dominion professor and former head of the university’s math department, and Dr. Hunter, a retired engineer from NASA, are First Colonial volunteer tutors. They are available blocks 2 and 3, Mondays through Thursdays in the Library.
