Enrolling New or Transfer Students

New or transfer students can complete registration at First Colonial High School during the summer by appointment only.

During the school year students may enroll any school day between 8:00 am and 1:30 pm.

A natural parent or custodial parent must accompany the student in order to enroll. The student must be living with and registered by a natural parent/legal guardian. Guardianship papers must be approved by school leadership, 437-7583, prior to registration.

Please call 496-6711 x85311 at your earliest convenience to schedule your appointment. Please do not wait until the end of August.

In addition, if a student has never attended a Virginia Beach City Public School the following information MUST be presented:

Birth Certificate
Social Security number
Proof of Residence (the lease/contract on home/apartment in the parent or legal guardian's name or a utility bill: electric, water, or gas - not a phone bill or a TV cable service bill)
Complete Immunization Record including a second MMR
IEP / 504 Plan if applicable
Name and Address of Previous School

If the student has attended VBCPS, they must present a withdrawal form (for September - June enrollments), immunization record and proof of residence.
