1. HOURS: The library is open from 7:10 AM to 2:30 PM. You do not need a pass to use the library before or after school.

2. PASSES: You will need your planner signed by a subject teacher, staff member or an administrator in order to visit the library from class or from study block. You may have your planner signed by one of the librarians before school in the morning. Please show your planner to a member of the library staff when you enter the library.

3. CONDUCT: Use of the library is a privilege. Appropriate behavior includes being respectful, courteous, and considerate of others. Come prepared to work on an appropriate activity. Passes to your locker will not be issued! Food and drinks are not permitted in our library. Eating/drinking in the library is a cause for dismissal.

4. CIRCULATION:
NON-REFERENCE MATERIALS: 3 books may be checked out for 2 weeks and may be renewed unless reserved for another student. Books will be due on the last date stamped on the card in the pocket in the back of the book. Librarians reserve the right to limit the number of books that can be checked out.
REFERENCE MATERIALS: You may check out 1 reference book at a time, including encyclopedias and dictionaries, for overnight use. An overnight card will be placed in the book pocket to remind you to return your materials before first bell the following school day.
MAGAZINES & NEWSPAPERS: Selected materials such as magazines and newspapers may be checked out for overnight use.

5. FINES/LOST OR DAMAGED MATERIALS: Fines are not charged for overdue materials; however, you will be charged the cost of replacement for any lost items. For damaged materials you will be charged partial replacement cost, based on the amount of damage.

6. DOORS: Please use only the front door of the library and exit in single file through the security gate.

7. Ipods/CELL PHONES : School policy prohibits radios, tape players, or earphones anywhere in the school! Cell phones must be off and put away. These items will be confiscated and turned into the administration if they are out.

8. FIRE DRILL: If the fire alarm sounds when you are in the library, please proceed out the front door and across the driveway to the grassy area around the flagpole. We will need to stay on the grass and out of the driveway until we return to the building.
