On May 1, the Virginia Beach Bar Foundation is celebrating Law Day with a gala event on May 1. Clay Jenkinson, a highly sought after humanities scholar will appear in the persona of Thomas Jefferson, exploring his views about the rule of law and its importance in protecting our freedom and liberties. The event will be held at the Sandler Center at 7:00 p.m. Students will receive a reduced ticket rate of $10.00. Various LSA teachers have agreed to give extra credit if a student attends the event. 10 hours of community service will also be awarded. Students must present their event ticket, as well as write a one page summary of what they observed to receive credit.
