Physical Education 9 focuses on participation in activities including badminton weight training. Basketball, volleyball, tennis, ultimate frisbee, flag football, recreational games, and dance. In addition, emphasis is placed on maintaining a high level of physical fitness. Health 9 topics include unites on body systems, substance abuse, first aid and safety including CPR, nutrition, environmental health, and family life.

Prerequisite: Health and Physical Education 9
Physical Education 10 focuses on the development of skills for lifetime activities including golf, tennis, weight training, and physical fitness. Additional units are presented in team sports including flag football, soccer, volleyball, and softball. Continued emphasis is placed on maintaining a high level of physical fitness. Health 10 topics include a semester of classroom instruction in driver education and units on substance abuse, personal health, and wellness, and family life.

This course is designed to encourage students to maintain an active healthy lifestyle. The units have been designed to teach skills for lifetime sports. Activities include tennis, golf, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, dance, weight training, basketball, orienteering and recreational games. Emphasis is placed on strategies, rules, and participation in a variety of physical skills.

This course is designed for the athlete. It is an excellent year long cross training program for any students wanting to excel physically. Included weekly are a variety of recreational games. Jogging and weight lifting to maintain a high level of fitness.
